About Brothers Moving

Yes. Brothers Moving & Storage has the required licensing and insurance to operate in Wisconsin. We accept cashier checks, cash, debit, and credit cards. There will be a 3% administration fee on all debit/credit card transactions.

Yes. One of the benefits that sets us apart from other local moving companies is that we perform Saturday moves at no extra charge.

All of our trucks are 26’ box trucks. We can typically fit up to 2,200 square feet of furniture and boxes in one truckload. Please note that every house is different and will never guarantee that everything will fit in one 26’ truckload. If everything does not fit in one load, we are happy to make a second trip or supply an additional truck if available for an additional fee.

Fees and Additional Services

Brothers Moving & Storage has a minimum hourly charge of 3 hours on all full services and labor-only moves.

No. Our rates are the same 6 days a week.

Please note that the estimate given is for informational and budgeting purposes only and is just an estimate. You will be billed based on the actual amount of time it takes to complete the move, whether the total is higher or lower than our original estimate. Every move has unique factors that can affect how much time is required to complete a move. Parking, stairs, sharing the elevator with other tenants, etc. are all factors. Our movers will work their hardest to complete the move in the shortest amount of time possible.

However, at Brothers Moving & Storage, there are no hidden charges. We charge from the time the movers leave our shop until the time the movers arrive back at our shop on all full-service and labor-only moves. There is a small fuel surcharge that will be applied to all jobs. All jobs a subject to a 3-hour minimum.

Services We Provide

Yes. All of our movers come equipped with tools to disassemble and reassemble your furniture if needed. Due to insurance reasons, our movers are unable to dismount any items off any walls.

No. Some companies shrink-wrap furniture. Brothers Moving & Storage refrains from that practice due to possible condensation forming in warm conditions that can ruin the finish on the furniture. Instead, all of our mover’s pad wrap your furniture with moving blankets free of charge to avoid damage to your belongings.

Yes. Brothers Moving & Storage has a full-service, climate-controlled storage facility that is a perfect solution for those in need of extra storage space to keep important household items. Our facility has central surveillance and is monitored by video to ensure security. Check out our storage page to see how Brothers Moving & Storage can help you with your storage needs.

Brothers Moving & Storage gives the customer three choices. (1) The customer can take those items themselves. (2) Brothers Moving & Storage can supply and pack those items in the appropriate boxes to ensure safety during transit. (There would be an extra charge for the material) or (3) Brothers Moving & Storage can pad wrap the items in moving blankets, but would not be responsible for any damage to the items due to not being packed properly in approved boxes.

General Questions

Yes. Brothers Moving & Storage will try our best to accommodate a last-minute move, but can not guarantee availability.

Although tipping the movers is not expected, it is greatly appreciated.

Yes. You can leave clothing in your dresser, we do ask that you remove any breakables, valuables, or leakables. If the dresser is going into storage we would ask that you pack the contents and leave the dresser empty.

In the event something gets damaged or broken, our first remedy is to repair the item. If the item can not be repaired, the item is always covered undervaluation. Any damage MUST be reported to our office via email or phone within 48 hours.
